Camille Buxeda is a storyteller, with a background as a director, producer and creative leader in sports. With experience with some of the world’s best athletes, she has specifically dedicated her career to growing and amplifying stories in women’s sports.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Camille moved to New York in 2016 where she began her career in sports. She served in roles at Madison Square Garden and the WNBA before founding WSLAM, SLAM Magazine’s first-ever vertical holistically dedicated to women’s basketball. Here she built and executed her vision for what content and coverage in women’s professional athletics should look like. Amassing nearly 500,000 in circulation for WSLAM, Camille played a vast role in the creative and business direction of the brand. With experience in creative direction, producing and directing, Camille pushes the boundary on raw and authentic storytelling, while creating an environment of trust for the subjects involved.
